LOS ANGELES - Karl Malone has ruled out a return to the Los Angeles Lakers because of comments made by Kobe Bryant in a radio interview, Malone’s agent said Tuesday.

I don't even know what to say. It seems that Kobe is trying to become as much of a destructive force off the court as he is on. The Lakers might as well fire their GM (who's that? Buss still?) and save themselves some money on his salary. It's clear that Kobe is the one running the team.

I say that Malone should sign with San Antonio or Minnesota now.
As much as I don't like Malone, I like Kobe even less, so I wouldn't mind Karl getting a championship just to spite him.

Fantasy Impact

Malone owners may have to wait a while longer now for the Mailman's comeback - although if he really is back on the market, it probably won't take that long for someone to snap him up. Especially if he's willing to play for less than $2M again.
