Thank you Bulls Blog:
6 years, $63m. More if he hits certain statistical benchmarks for incentives.
From The Trib:
Although he wasn’t a starter, Chandler played in 80 games and averaged eight points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.76 blocks. He was even better in the playoffs, averaging 11.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.17 blocks.
It will be interesting to see if Chandler takes over the starting role from Antonio Davis. Of course, some of it also rests on what happens with Eddy Curry. Davis played 26.5 minutes and had 13, 11 and 1.1 blocks per 48. Chandler played 27.4 off the bench, with 14, 17, 3.1 per 48. I don’t think he’ll get up to the 35-6 minute range, but he should be playing enough to be a double-double machine with 1-2 blocks. His average draft position last year was 103, and he’ll be a steal if he goes that low again. He’s ranked 87 on Basketball Monster, but that is with 8, 9.7 and 1.8. Some people will probably go as high as the 5th round for him. I would wait until at least the 6th (we’re assuming 12 teams here). If he’s still around in the 7th, you’re golden.
