State of the NBA… Cheerleaders

Call it part belated celebration for the Celtics finally succumbing to temptation and becoming the last NBA team to employ a “dance team” and part not being able to write anything requiring “thought” or “focus”. Yes, everyone from my Mom to my wife has been asking about my opinions on the current NBA cheerleading state of affairs.

I starting things off by Googling “hottest NBA cheerleader”, but I quickly had to backtrack after the first page of results. Some time last year, I thought I had seen a NBA cheerleader team challenge website (which I enjoyed for hours on end), but I wasn’t able to find it while “researching” this post. The Cavalier has made his intentions known for Amber of the Dallas Mavericks as well as the Miami Heat “dance team” as a whole.

As for myself, after a quick search of about five teams (way too few – I know) I’ll put down a vote for Ashley of the Clippers.

How about some other interesting cheerleader information? In 2004, Lindsey Marshal, a cheerleader for the Toronto Raptors was fired over her softcore Website. (Not surprisingly, it’s not safe work viewing). But, the site definitely puts the soft in softcore. Pretty tame, really. But I’m a perv.

For all the female GMTR readers out there who are thinking about trying out for a cheerleading or dance team, Dance Cheer has some good advice:

Eat nutritiously and bear in mind that many squads require that your weight be in proportion with your height.

Sounds to me like like woman speak for no fatties wanted.

Finally, for all the fellas out there in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with dreams of spending a little naughty time with a former NBA cheerleader, look up Kat Jackson, an independent escort located in Portland, Oregon.
