For those who ain’t heard it from YaySports, Ron Artest has a video for his song “Fever.” It’s certainly not as good as Rhymefest’s song of the same name, but, as I said in the YaySports comments (since he asked for opinions and others had already provided theirs), it’s as good as anything that the “average rap star” comes out with these days.

So, with that ominous introduction, behold: Fever by Ron Artest

Hard Wood has your review of the Artest album courtesy of Byron Crawford, a real writer who I’ve actually heard of before and might have even subscribed to his blog at one point.

Speaking of Artest, is Luke Walton turning into the poor man’s Tru Warrior? Is he for real?

I heard Artest’s album sold 343 copies during it’s first week of release. I’d like to think you’re responsible for a least one of those Nels.

And I can’t speak for his off-the-court actions, but on the court, yeah, Walton is the real deal. He’s always been talented, he’s just needed the opportunity to play some big minutes, which he’s got this year. Seeing the Lakers other options, I think he’ll continue to see big time, even after Mihm and Brown return from injury.

I’m afraid I can’t take credit for any of Artest’s musical success. I haven’t had time recently to get out to pick up a copy even if I was actually going to buy it from a so-called brickandmortar store. I’m sure it will appear on a certain Russian web site soon enough, where I will be able to pay for it what it is actually worth.

And I also believe that Luke Walton has got skills. I don’t think the 56% FG is realistic for 82 games, and neither is the 15 points. But if he’s proven that he’s worth the 32 minutes/game to Phil Jackson, then he might just be able to keep it up.
