Dropping Dimes, Adding Dimes (11/16)

It’s funny… and while probably no one will believe me (and I won’t really care if you do or not anyway), I think I had the idea for the expert league report at exactly the same moment as the guys at Fantasy Basketblog.

So, here’s the add/drop report for the Dropping Dimes Experts League for 11/16 (keeping in mind that these are real teams with other players on them leading to some pickups that will help support weak categories - and thus, may not necessarily be useful to you):

Add: Juan Dixon (Por - PG,SG)
Drop: Brent Barry (SA - PG,SG)

This was me. I picked up Barry for his 3s, %s, and low TOs, but then he bombed out after a few good games. Dixon has some of the same qualities that I saw in Barry, so I swapped them this morning.

Add: Ruben Patterson (Mil - SF)
Drop: Bobby Simmons (Mil - SG,SF)

Not sure that I would have dropped Bobby, but if you’re going to do that, at least you pick up the guy who’s replacing him. And Ruben is actually making FTs this year, so that helps.

Add: Paul Millsap (Uta - SF,PF)
Drop: Ike Diogu (GS - PF,C)

Another injured player dropped. I don’t know if Millsap is necessarily the best pickup here, but at least one expert does.

Add: Delonte West (Bos - PG,SG)
Drop: David Lee (NY - SF,PF)

Someone picked my castoff - West. Actually, Lee is looking pretty good too. It’s hard to say what’s going to happen in NY, but David Lee has been getting pretty consistent minutes so far this year.

Add: Mike Dunleavy (GS - SF)
Drop: Fabricio Oberto (SA - PF,C)

Oberto looked pretty good for the one day after his 22 and 10 performance. Dunleavy put in 22 with 8 and 2 three-pointers in his last game. Oberto hasn’t come close to that again, so that was an easy switch to make.
