Okay, you win, you win. That's an ugly list of centers you presented. If that's what you're looking at in your league, then it's worth hanging onto Aldridge for his potential, because everyone else on that list has got none of it. And here comes the part of my recommendation where I throw out a lot of names to make myself look smart, but the reality is that all these guys are probably taken in your league: Jorge Garbajosa, Kendrick Perkins, and Shareef Abdur-Rahim are all guys I’d take over Aldridge.

Of those guys you listed, Haywood wins the best plug and play center pretty much by default, but that doesn’t sound like something you really right now. What I personally might do is drop Aldridge and pick up the best player available – like a Rasual Butler – and then if something happens to O’Neal, you can always drop Butler and pick up any of those guys you listed or maybe, ugh, Jeff Foster.

Okay, smarty stat guy... if I shouldn't have LaMarcus Aldridge on my team... then who? I don't really need another center immediately, but I've got Jermaine O'Neal as one of my starters, so I'd like to have a decent backup in case he goes down. Choices look like this for the Cs available in my 12-team standard categories (TOs included) league:
Francisco Elson
Nazr Mohammed
Etan Thomas (Injured)
Johan Petro
Rasho Nesterovic
Brendan Haywood (good cause he's in for Thomas?)
DeSagna Diop
Fabricio Oberto
Tony Battie
Mikki Moore

Anyone else I should look for if those guys aren't good enough?

I'm pretty soft in FT% and TO, so I'd like a C that won't kill my FT% any further. And most of the FAs don't have a lot of TOs anyway, but it's something to consider.
