Very in depth set of links there, Nels. From a fantasy perspective, Fantasy Basketblog is definitely the go to place for the implications of the Webber deal. But, if you're hungry like the wolf for all things Webber, you can also check out Matt Buser's latest article on Yahoo. In short, expect improved numbers from Webber, but not as good as last year. And there is also Rotoworld's Chris Webber page or some surprisingly levelheaded talk about Webber on the Chris Webber Thread on the <a href="http://www.fantasybasketballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31627&start=45

Webber can play the post in the East against a lot of teams. Heck, if they play the Bulls he can guard the 'Fro! But can you imagine CWebb trying to check Shaq? Orlando would give him Dwightmares! In the playoffs CWebb is going to be a part-timer, IMO. 'Sheed is going to play the post a lot more with him in the lineup. If Detroit gives away the Diceman as a result of this pickup they are insane...and up to this point I figured Joe Dumars for a pretty smart guy, so it is far more likely that Dale Davis or Nazr is the guy they trade to get maybe a Jaric.

Should Detroit make it to the finals he would be highway 84 to anyone he tries to guard. I contemplated Webber versus Dallas or the Suns and shook my head. The Spurs or Rockets both have a pretty good big guy as well although neither nearly as fast as Amare and Dirk.

Bottom line is that Detroit can't win with CWebb playing 35 minutes a game. I can see him for 20 but can he be a team guy and go along with that? The world waits...
