So: Ever wanted to see how’d you’d fare in a fantasy league with Patrick and Me (aka Nels)?

Well, here’s your chance!

Leave a comment and/or send an email for the chance (probably a very good chance) to participate in the First Annual Inaugural Give Me The Rock Readers Digestive Head-To-Head Fantasy Basketball League Pro Am Season Game.

There are currently 10 spots open. The first 10 people to leave a comment and/or send an e-mail to the correct e-mail address will get in. With your comment and/or e-mail, please leave at least one sentence about who you are and/or why you want to be in the league. This is important, because if you stop participating in the league, you will be berated, degraded, and hated on this blog until the shame permanently burns itself into your soul. You can leave your e-mail address in the comments section form and no one but me (aka Nels) will see it.

If you still really need more information, it’s a Head-to-Head league (as should be obvious from the name of the league), with the standard categories: FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO; and the standard positions: PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN. Rosters will be set on a weekly basis on the standard day: Monday. So, no shenanigans being pulled or anything. It will be a fair fight.

Prizes: Because who doesn’t want prizes? The winner will receive a copy of :07 Seconds or Less as well as TIPOFF (the 1984 draft). Both books are hardcover super-limited editions. I mean, I only have one copy of each, so they must super-limited, right?

Let me in because I have been hooked on the NBA since ’76 when I watched the triple overtime finals game between the suns and the celtics. I would be geeking without the phenomena that is fantasy basketball. Plus I can handle a weekly line up submission. I am normally a roto guy, but to fantasy hoop with you boys I will raise my game.

hey i want in. i’m an avid reader of GMTR so that should be enough reason to let me in right? ;-P but yeah i’m a certified fantasy addict, pouring over stats (i bet you can see my profile always hanging out in your GMTR Fantasy Basketball rater all the time, i like to scrutinize and compare against my own methods you see ) i’ve been playing ever since i discovered the game and i’m always on the lookout for that competitive league (coz yahoo public blows, nobody participates ). finally if you let me in, i’ll do my fantasy basketball shimmy for you. yey!

hey, i proposed this idea over at fantasy basketblog and it didnt take off. I want to be a part of the league because i have all the time to participate. I have my own league of friends and after 4 years trying to get a full league together with 12 managers who are always active, i have a full active league. I know active managers are hard to find. I am one and would love to be part of the league, seems i may be late . Hope i made it!

Okay, Terrance just made the cut off. Provided that he accepts his invitation (which he better cause I sent it 13 minutes after he left his comment), the league is up to 12 teams.

Hello, if there is still an opening I would love to be in a fun and competitve league. I have been playing fantasy hoops since before Al Gore invented the internet and tracking stats by hand was a pain but well worth it. Please let me know if a spot is still open.
