Not sure who theglobeandmail is, but they’re reporting that Chris Bosh is taking it easy on his left knee. He already spent the summer taking it easy on his foot due to plantar fasciitis. Evidently, the left knee is not the one that took him out for part of last season, and I see that as not a good thing. One wonky knee is better than two.
Speaking of one wonky knee, Slam Dunk Central says that Spencer Hawes is going to have arthroscopic surgery on his wonky left knee. I’m not sure how big an influence Hawes was going to have on fantasy basketball, but I can tell you that I’m glad the Bulls went with Joakim Noah, despite the lack of any offensive game.
The Bosh situation is tough, though. Especially in this critical time when most fantasy drafts are being conducted. You certainly can’t stay away from every player who may or may not have some sort of injury, and Bosh is easily a second round pick, but this kind of news should make you look carefully at Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, or even have some patience and go with Al Jefferson in the 3rd round.
