Patrick (and I, somewhat) have been talking about the Youth Tax in fantasy basketball recently. So, it only seems fitting (to me at least) that I post this article from the Fantasy Insider about the 2nd and 3rd year players that are worth drafting. Chris Paul makes the list of players that are not recommended. I took him in the Dropping Dimes Experts League, though, and I don’t think I’ll regret it. If he misses another 18 games, then, yes, that hurts. But as I continue to play fantasy basketball, I realize more and more that injuries are a part of the game. I mean, look at guys like Yao, Pau, Rashard Lewis, Ray Allen, Dwyane Wade, Marcus Camby… all first and second round picks who have spent significant time on the bench. Players are going to get injured. You just have to hope that your guys are less injured than the other guy’s guys. You can increase the odds of that happening, which is what I try to do, but at some point, you just have to hope that someone like Chris Paul – who’s played 78 and 64 games – will play somewhere in between those two numbers.

Also, the GMTR Mock Draft Round Up continue to be updated as the Dropping Dimes guys conduct their mock draft. If the GMTR Readers Digestive draft goes well tonight – tonight! – I’ll add that one to the list tomorrow. I considered adding the Dropping Dimes Experts League draft, but with Yao Ming going at #5, I’m not sure I can bring myself to do it.
