Raise of hands, who drafted Kevin Garnett? Now who drafted him after the first pick? Anyone manage to get him with pick 4 or higher?

Line of the Night: Kevin Garnett (5.9): 27 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks. If you take a glace at either GMTR player rater, you’ll see that Garnett is in the top spot and is towering above the rest of the field. It looks like that potential drop in scoring hurting his fantasy value theory was a little off base. In reality, Allen and Pierce are seeing the drop in points by about 3-4 per game apiece.

Honorable Mentions: Any other night, Kobe Bryant (5.5) would have probably gotten the line of the night with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Andrei Kirilenko (5.4) only scored 10 points, but chipped in 8 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks. Man, I’m glad I drafted him. LaMarcus Aldridge (5.4), Steve Nash (5.3), and Carmelo Anthony (5.1) all led their respective teams in scoring (although Nash did not take the most shots on the night – the theory lives on).

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Bonzi Wells (3.8). Reader tone has already brought up the Bonzi Wells situation (it’s in the comments). Wells has burned me a couple of times with his tendency to take his time recovering from injuries. That being said, there is no denying his last two games have shown some potential. Wells played under coach Rick Adelman in Sacramento and that could be helping him find his role on this Houston team. The Rockets could use a third scorer behind McGrady and Ming, so you could do worse than taking a flyer on Wells to see if he develops into a scoring and rebound threat off the bench. Just make sure you give him a short leash.

Goat of the Night: Jason Richardson (1.6). 2 for 10 from the field and 0 for 5 for threes. These kind of nights are just part of the Jason Richardson experience. You don’t even have to pay extra for it.

Dishonorable Mention: Peja Stojakovic (1.6) had another game where his shot didn’t want to fall.
