Line of the Night: Leandro Barbosa (6.1). Now this is the type of game that Barbosa owners have been waiting for, 39 points, 8 threes, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals in 43 minutes. He had the best game in the league by far yesterday. At least the numbers tell me so.

Honorable Mentions: Allen Iverson (4.9), Andrei Kirilenko (4.9), Marcus Camby (4.8), Brandon Roy (4.7), Kevin Garnett (4.7).

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Theo Ratliff (4.0). Ratliff is only 34, which is amazing because I always thought he was more like 50. He blocked 6 shots against the Kings yesterday and scored 14, which I’m going to assume is the most points he’s ever scored in his life – including college, high school, pick-up games, when you put one of those hoops on your bedroom door, and when he plays as himself on NBA 08.

Honorable Mentions: Carlos Arroyo (4.3) had 13 points, 8 assists and a couple steals, Gordan Giricek (3.8) scored 16 points in 23 minutes. Giricek always seems like one of those guys that if he only got more minutes, he’d be a decent fantasy guy. Even when he was starting a couple years ago, he never got a huge amount of minutes.

Goat of the Night: Luol Deng (1.9). I’m going to quote TJ Ford here, “What’s going on with this team?” Scott Skiles pulled all his starters from the game in the third quarter, which was a brilliant move if his goal was to lose by 30 points. As a result Deng only played 22 minutes, scoring 5 points on 2 for 8 shooting. And if you’re really bored check out the +/- for the Bulls from their NBA.com boxscore. The Bulls had only one player with a positive +/-. Can you guess who it was?

Yeah, I had a totally great night last night… I watched Transformers and then got to see the 2nd half of the Bulls game. A black cat crossed my path earlier in the day, though… so if anyone tries to say that’s not for real, you tell them “Transformers and Thabo Sefolosha throwing the ball off the backboard and calling it a jump shot.”

i’m waiting for you guys to do some dirk analysis. the heck’s his problem?

    • http://www.givemetherock.com Patrick

tone – Diaw is definitely worth a pickup. If I were to drop someone on your team for him, it’d probably be Daniel Gibson. Once Eric Snow comes back, Gibson’s role will be reduced. Plus he’s only averaging 3 assists a game, so you won’t be losing any assists. With Iverson, Arenas, and Jason Williams, I think you’re all set at the PG position.

By the way, why do you have the Iverson and Allen on your bench?

matt – Dirk should be fine. His last game was pretty ugly, but remember, it’s only six games in. Everything appears to be there for him except for his shot. That’ll come around. I don’t see him shooting 43% for the rest of the year.

Matt, if we’re going to write start writing about the “What’s Up With Them? Guys” it’s going to be a looooooong article. :)

I’d like to ask Kirk Hinrich what’s up with shooting 32%…
