Action Item: Pick Up Nate Robinson

I first spotted on Just Give Me The Stats!! – a fairly new fantasy basketblog I’ve come across – that the Knicks were looking to reduce Starbury’s role with the team, and now Deadspin is reporting that Marbury is MIA.

Since it’s too late to do it in the GMTR Readers League, and someone else has already picked him up in the DroppingDimes Expert’s League, it’s obvious that I’m not out of line in advocating adding Nate Robinson to your roster. I’m not a big fan of Robinson (I tried to be when he first came to the league), but if he’s the starting PG for the Knicks (and can be used as a SG in Yahoo leagues), he’ll actually be pretty valuable. His FG% sucks, but if you double his minutes (giving him 32/game) and double the rest of his stats, you’re looking at: 14.8 points, 6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 2.8 three pointers, and 2.4 turnovers. And his 75-76% free throw shooting isn’t too bad, even if he doubles his number of free throws taken.

    Damn...both leagues already picked him up. I just dropped him a couple days ago. I think for eddie house.
  • He's already been picked up in my local league as well. Aren't these people supposed to be working!
