Line of the Night: Leandro Barbosa (6.17). There were only 39 players to choose from last night, so Barbosa’s 5 threes definitely stood out. The 25 points was actually enough to earn him a 10 in that category. 4/4 from the line only got a 9.27, though, because Grant Hill (5.60) was 5/5.
Honorable Mentions: Manu Ginobli (5.73) was as close to a triple-double as any of the crapstars on my fantasy teams will get this year. Yes, I said crapstars. I don’t know what else to call them. I mean, at least my Bulls started making some frickin shots. Luol Deng (5.36), Kirk Hinrich (4.58), and Ben Gordon (4.53) were all in the top 10 last night. Did I mention only 39 people played last night?
Grant Hill had a 5.60 for 3rd best last night.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: DeSagana Diop (3.38), Brent Barry (3.34), and Chris Duhon (3.21) were pretty high up there (17, 18, 19, respectively). I’m not sure they’re really worth picking up… though if Skiles has actually decided on a 9 man rotation (only 9 Bulls played last night! It’s a Thankgiving-week-eve’s Day Miracle!), Duhon is probably going to continue getting 6-7 points, 4-5 assists, and a three. If you’re looking for another PG in a deep league, you could probably get someone worse.
Goat of the Night: Tyrus Thomas. Most people had probably moved him into their starting lineups since he can put up 20 and 10 every other game, and even in the odd numbered games, he’ll get 2-3 blocks. But only getting 5 points and 5 rebounds in 23 minutes means something is still off with TT. Seems like it’ll still be a little while before he can consistently get to averaging the 15 and 8 he’s clearly capable of.
Dishonorable Mentions: Tony Parker came through with 1/11 from the field and 7 points. If it weren’t for the 5/6 from the line and 8 assists, he’d easily be the GOTN.
