Michael Redd

Yes, I did steal the title from this blog, but I only do it because I love the name.

Line of the Night: Michael Redd (5.77) with 34 pts (8/15 from the field, 15/20 from the line), 7 reb, 6 ast, 3 stl, 3 threes, 2 blk, and a turnover in a pear tree. Oh, sorry. That’s a different holiday Eve.

Honorable Mentions: Baron “B-Diddy” Davis (5.43), Kobe Bryant (5.41), Marcus Camby (5.33)

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: It’s hard to pick between these two guys, but since they’re so different, I’ll just throw them both out there: Andray Blatche (4.29) and Louis Williams (4.18). So for H2H, you have an option to pick up one or the other depending on if you’re running a big ball or small ball (respectively) team.

Antionio Daniels (4.13) also had a good game with Gilbert Arenas sitting on the bench. If you’ve got daily lineup changes, and need some assists, he’s probably worth a look.

Goat of the Night: Tyrus Thomas (0.93). It’s not really his fault though. Evidently Adrian Griffin and Andres Nocioni deserve as much or more playing time than Thomas. Scott Skiles needs to have surgery on that head in his ass. From ChicagoSports.com (aka Chicago Tribune) via Thank You Isiah:

“I understand the fans see one side of it. We see the other. We know what’s supposed to be done out there. We ask him to sprint the floor. To my knowledge in his career he hasn’t done it one time.

“Not one time.”

I’m sorry… what?

Dishonorable Mentions: Nate Robinson (1.28) – Steph is back and playing 38 minutes, even though nobody voted for him. Guess that’s the end of the Nate Rob era. Ben Gordon (1.38). 2/14 isn’t getting it done. It’s getting you yanked by Scott “Short Leash” Skiles. Jermaine O’Neal (1.64). 4/13 is better than BenGo… but 3 rebounds from a big man is Eddy Curryesque.

Other Stuff Like This:

  • Joey
what you guys think about Jordan Farmar, what he's done and his outlook for the future?
  • I like Farmar a lot. Lakers fans compare him to a Mike Bibby or Kirk Hinrich type player. Unfortunately, the most likely scenario for him is splitting time with Derek Fisher for the rest of the year. At 22-25 minutes a game, he’s a marginal fantasy guy, especially when he’s not hitting 70% of his shots like he as been the last couple of games. If Fisher gets hurt or if Famar somehow takes over the starting role (not likely), pick him up fast.
