What's the saying I'm looking for Sarge... Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then. :)

Alright, I'm just jealous I didn't have the foresight to pick up Moon.

Would you add Moon in the Dropping Dimes experts league? Oh wait, I did that about three weeks ago - nevermind. :)

Depends on what you can get for him and if you have a capable backup. Three months is a long time. It puts him on target for a late February return, which means he'll only play in 25-30 games before the end of the season.

If you have a decent backup, then hold onto Arenas, cause he'll help you out at the end of the year and for the playoffs if you have them. Otherwise see if you can get someone to bite. Hinrich could be a nice guy to buy low on.

Yeah, I'm happy with it.

What a fast paced game GSW vs. Suns. Lucky this is one of the few games a week on tv in canada.

I miss my grizzlies.

I like the Smith for Lewis deal a lot. Smith is a beast and he's in for a huge year. As you said, Smith gets those tough steals and blocks categories. Nice job trading for a guy on the way up.

I picked up moon in both my leagues but dropped him recently..and now I came back from a weekend trip and he's "blowing up".

It's nothing new in the fantasy world, but I like to vent my daily fantasy frustrations.

Did I make a good deal? I got Josh Smith for Rashard Lewis. This league has the standard stats as well as FGM, FTM, OReb.

Lewis's % (esp 3's) are much better than Smiths. I value the rarity of good players that can block so I think i made a good deal...plus there are always good 3pt shooters on the waiver.

My first instinct was to say stick with Childress, but Moon’s recent numbers have looked decent. So, comparing Moon in his starts to Childress this year (minus the Hawks first game when he only played 18 minutes), here are the numbers:

Moon: 9.6 pts, 6.8 rebs, 1.1 asts, 1.4 stls, 1.9 blks, 1.1 TOs, 46% FG%, 67% FT%
Childress: 13.5 pts, 5.5 rebs, 1.0 asts, 0.8 stls, 0.4 blks, 1.1 TOs, 62% FG%, 96% FT%

So, their stats are close, much closer than I would have expected. They are delivering about equal value right now, so I would either play the one with the most games for the week (if you’re in a weekly league) or go with the guy who fits your team better (Childress’ percentages and points vs Moon’s steals and blocks). There is also a chance that Moon could continue to get better as the year goes on.
