Line of the Night: Amare Stoudemire (5.68) by a mile. The Man Child (is he still called that?) was 15/24 (63%) from the field and added a Nash-like 92% from the line (12 of 13 attempts). He also had an Amare-like 13 rebounds.

Honorable Mentions: Deron Williams (4.83) had a another good game with plenty of points, some assists, and block from your PG position. Tayshaun Prince (4.52), Jermaine O’Neal (4.45).

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Trevor Ariza (4.40) checks in at #7 on the night. Lil AZ (I don’t know, does he have a nickname?) missed only 1 shot and it was a free throw, and he also had a decent 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His high value comes from the 4 steals, though, which was a perfect 10 on the night.

Rise With Us: Shannon Brown had 20 points with 4 threes, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. LeBron The Cavs need someone to help the team while he’s LeBron is out. Brown played 37 minutes, and game was competitive until the 3rd quarter, so it wasn’t all garbage time, and he’s probably a good bet while LeBron sits.

Goat of the Night: Leandro Barbosa (1.39) balanced out Amare’s monster game by making only 1 of 8 shots, adding 3 assists, 1 rebound, and 2 turnovers. Not what you expect from the guy ranked #40 on the Player Rater.

I think Amare’s nickname is S.T.A.T. (Standing Tall and Talented). Ariza doesn’t have a legit nickname, but when he was in Orlando, the radio broadcaster referred to him as “The Razor.”

Thanks Ben, for those 2 updates. I like The Razor. Maybe he’ll start living up to that name…
