Line of the Night: Leandro Barbosa (4.58) just edged out Manu Ginobli (4.57) and Allen Iverson (4.38) for the top spot. Starbosa’s 5 three pointers led him to 35 points, and even though he only had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, I guess that was enough last night. Even though…

Honorable Mentions: Allen Iverson had 51 on 18/27 (66%) and 15/18 (83%). AI added 8 assists, but I guess those were a lot easier to come by last night than three pointers. Ginobli also had a big game with 37 points but only shot 50% from the field, and only made 2 threes to go with his 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a partridge in a pear tree (aka a block).

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Vladimir Radmanovic (4.01) beat out Barbosa with 6 three pointers and also had 5 rebounds and 2 steals. The Game Logs say “don’t pick him up” but this could be the match that ignites his fire.

Rise With Us: He’s probably already been picked up in most leagues, but Carlos Delfino had another decent outing with 4 steals and some other stuff. Damien Wilkins is another one who was probably picked up, but he might have been dropped again just as quickly. Take a look. Louis Williams might be worth picking up if you need help at the PG position. He can make threes, and if the ship Andre Miller off somewhere, he could take over.

Goat of the Night: Jared Dudley (1.05). I’m sure he was picked up in a bunch of leagues after starting on the 3rd. He followed up that “pick-up worthy” performance with a GotN style 0/6 with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Which was only slightly worse than Kirk Hinrich’s (1.23) 0/3 with 2 rebounds and 1 assist.

Are we far along enough in the season to ask what’s up with Kirk Hinrich? Is he hurt? Has Scott Skiles completely destroyed his swag?

What do you think of this trade? Camby and AK-47 for Josh Smith and Danny Granger?

    • http://www.givemetherock.com Patrick

If AK and Camby can stay healthy, they are the better side of the trade (better in blocks, rebounds, assists, and tos compared to points and threes). That being said, they are the risker side of the trade as well. I’d probably want Camby and AK, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Smith and Granger end up with the better overall years once games played are factored in.

Thanks for the reply. Those two are driving me crazy. They put up good numbers, but I’m afraid, any day, they’re going to go down.

KrisB, I totally understand. I’ve got AK in a couple leagues and I’ve been getting lowball offers for him all season. So, what other guys does the Smith owner have on his team? Any other workable trades?

Patrick, please don’t ask me about Kirk Hinrich. Please.

I was in the middle of my Bulls analysis when everyone except Kirk seems to have pulled it together. Well, him and Tyrus Thomas, but we know that the problem with TT is Skiles. Kirk…. I’m not so sure.
