Line of the Night: I’m not sure I want to live in a world where Mike Dunleavy (5.2) has the best line of the night. It’s like one of those pictures kids draw in the second grade: the sky is green, the grass is blue, and some alien robot is shooting down an airplane with his dual machine gun arms. It’s not just a world that I can contemplate as an adult. The Bizzaro Mike Dunleavy (possibly with robot arms) scored 36 off 13 for 18 shooting, was 7 for 7 from the line, hit 3 threes, and added 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Honorable Mentions: The Bizzaro Stephen Jackson (4.6), who I hear turned down the Chairpersons role for the Young Republicans of America before joining the NBA, went for 28/12/5; ultimate teammate Zach Randolph (4.6) scored 26 with 9 rebounds and added a couple threes; Josh Smith (4.4) had 18/12 with 5 blocks in only 29 minutes (that’s his 9th game with 5+ blocks this season). Too bad the guy can’t get into better shape; chronic underachiever Tim Duncan (4.3) had a rare good game where he went for 36 and 17; and Little Al Jefferson (4.3) had 22 and 20.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Anthony Johnson (4.3). The Hawks point guard makes this list because of a bunch of injuries and one sweet stat line. Johnson had 17 points and dished out 14 assists in 45 minutes of play in a win against the Jazz. Now that Salim Stoudamire, Acie Law, Speedy Claxton and Tyronn Lue are all out with various injuries, it’s the Anthony Johnson show back there, starring 100% Anthony Johnson all day, every day.

In other waiver wire news, Ronnie Brewer has strung together 3 good games in a row. Last night we went for 19/4/3 with 4 steals in a season high 39 minutes (the increased minutes can be thanked, in part, to Gordan Giricek’s game taking an unexpected vacation).

Goat of the Night: Jason Terry (1.5) could only manage 8 points, 0 rebounds, and 2 assists on 4 for 11 shooting last night. After a hot start to the season, the JET has been hot and cold for the past couple weeks.

Dishonorable Mentions: Morris Peterson (1.3) hit 2 of the 7 shots he took, including 0 of 5 for three; Zaza Pachulia (1.7) had 4 turnovers in 25 minutes.
