Line of the Night: Kobe Bryant records the first ever 7+ that I can remember. Patrick was just saying how he’d thought the daily recaps would be monotonous in a Lebron, Kobe, and KG sort of way. Well, Kobe’s trying to show that he can get his name in the LotN repeatedly, this time by defying the Fantasy Rating convention and only getting 2 steals. In addition, he only shot 50% from the field. But 6/7 from the line with 5 threes, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists was good enough for a 7.08 last night.

Honorable Mentions: Ron Artest (6.58) turned in a decent performance despite shooting 2/5 from the line. Baron Davis (5.99); Rajon Rondo (5.87) had one of his best games with 8/10 from the floor and 5/6 from the line with 2 threes for 23 points. Add the 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals, and it’s good for 4th on the night, and a very good fantasy line for the season as a whole.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: I was tempted to pull a GMTR first and have no WWLotN player… but I guess I’ll go with JR Smith. There were a bunch of Waiver Wire Type players in the Top 50 last night, but after looking at their lines, Smith’s was the only one I felt was really worth anything. And, even at that, I wouldn’t really recommend picking up Smith. If you need threes, he’ll give you that, but not all that consistently.

The other potential WW pickups for last night, though, are guys who are even more inconsistent. So, for now, just stick with what you got. Or suggest someone in the comments section.

Goat of the Night: This one was a lot easier. As the 101st player out of 101 who played last night, Larry Hughes achieved a 1.21 by making only 1 of 8 shots, getting a single rebound, and turning the ball over once. Maybe I just shouldn’t ask so much from someone who’s hanging out at 191 on the Player Rater.

Bulls fans can celebrate last night’s episode of Eddy Curry’s (1.54) Steps in the Direction of Irrelevance. As they say, Thank You Isiah.
