Yesterday was a good one for LeBron James owners in leagues that count citations as a category. Word got out on Sunday that James was stopped by police in Medina, Ohio back on Dec. 30 (his birthday) at 3am for doing 101 in a 65 mph zone.

Belated Quote of the Night: Isiah Thomas responding to a question on Saturday about the idea he could be fired:

“When that happens, we’ll all know.”

Line of the Night: Joe Johnson (6.2) came out firing against the Bulls, scoring 19 points in the games’ first quarter on his way to 37. He added 9 boards, 6 assists, 5 threes, and was a solid 13-23 from the floor. It was the Hawks first win against the Bulls since 2004.

Honorable Mentions: Brandon Roy (6.0) used a double overtime against the Raptors to get to 33 points, 10 assists and 4 threes; Kobe Bryant (5.7) led the Lakers to their 6th straight win with 37 points (14-15 from the line) and 4 steals – although Andrew Bynum went down with a sprained knee in the win; 21 points, 4 blocks and a season high 18 rebounds and 8 assists from The Bearded One, sometimes referred to as Pau Gasol (5.5); and both Jose Calderon (5.4), who went for 22 with 10 assists, and Chris Bosh (5.0), with 38 and 14, benefited from the double overtime game.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Anthony Parker (4.6) is another guy whose stat line was helped by a couple overtimes. Parker got 51 minutes last night, scoring 25 with 6 assists and 3 threes.

And brutal FG% aside, Rafer Alston (3.7) has put together a decent run of games. His latest included 12 points, 7 assists and 2 steals in 40 minutes against the Hornets.

The Biggest Loser: The Detroit Pistons. Granted, they were playing the last game of a 4 game, 5 day road trip. But under no circumstance should any professional basketball team, especially one that plays in the National Basketball Association, lose to the Knicks 89-65. Detroit shot 23-of-75 (31%) as a team on the night. Specifically, Tayshaun Prince (0.9) went 0-10 from the floor, ending the game with 0 points, 0 assists, and 3 rebounds in 25 minutes. Rip Hamilton (1.3) went 1-7 with 3 points.
