Steve Nash (6.60) probably deserves to have his name in the headline of this post. I mean, 6.60! But, there were only 2 games played yesterday, making it a lot easier to be relatively superior. And since it is officially the halfway point of the season, it is what it is.
Line of the Night: Steve Nash (6.60). 37 points on 13-23 and 6-7 with 5 threes. And if that’s not enough, there were 10 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Did anyone pick him for MVP?
Honorable Mentions: Nash’s teammie Amare (6.04) had 19 points on 6-8 and 7-7 with 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 3 blocks; Ron Artest (5.80) did some damage with 27 points and 5 steals; Brad Miller (4.67) reminded people why they used to draft him in fantasy with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Technically it’s probably Beno Udrih (4.18), but since his rating relies mostly on making 5 of 5 shots, I want to point out that the PF situation in Milwaukee is a wee bit messed up, and last night it was Charlie Villanueva (3.75) who got 30 minutes going 7-13 for 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block. Only 42 players saw any time last night, so I’m not going to delve any deeper cause the lines start getting ugly…
Speaking of ugly, The Biggest Loser: Wasn’t John Salmons (1.36) the Shiznit as recently as 5 games ago? Wasn’t Kevin Martin also injured as recently as 6 games ago? Salmons played 2 minutes in last night’s blowout of the Nets. It was good while it lasted, right? And that’s what fantasy basketball is all about!
