Line of the Night: Rudy Gay (5.2) had the highest game score of the night, with a career high 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 threes in an overtime win against the Clippers (although Gay did have 5 turnovers). I’m sure most of you have heard by now, Rudy is participating in the slam dunk contest during all-star weekend. He’s asking people to upload videos of themselves dunking and he’ll pick the one he likes most to perform during the actual contest. Would it count if I sent a video of myself dunking on an 8 foot hoop off a trampoline?

Honorable Mentions: Jason Richardson (5.1) hit 7 threes on his way to 35 points; Corey Maggette (5.1) also scored 35, helped by the fact he went 16 of 18 from the line. He also had 9 boards; It was 35 points for Dwyane Wade (4.9) as well, he went 12-20 from the floor and added 8 rebounds and 4 assists; and Andre Iguodala (4.5) only scored 33, but he had 6 boards, 5 assists, and 2 blocks.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: There were only 4 games last night, so Tim Thomas (4.0), with 23 points off 10-13 shooting and 8 rebounds, is pretty much it for the WWLotN. Thomas started and played 45 minutes in the aformentioned overtime game. Ok, there’s also Dorell Wright (3.5), who scored 14 points and had 10 boards while shooting 7-11. Neither guy passes my waiver wire test of “don’t pick up guys who scored a lot of points by shooting 70%+ for one game.”

The Biggest Loser: Shaun Livingston, who somehow managed to defy the laws of space and time by playing negative 6 minutes in last nights game.

    Clippers Box Score

We at GMTR do not approve of messing with the space time continuum. You might think that traveling to the future to buy a sports almanac from 2015 is a brilliant idea, but next thing you know, future Biff Tannen steals it from you, gives it to himself in the past, and when you get back to 1985 your hometown has gone all to hell. Don’t make that mistake.

Dishonorable Mentions: Ricky Davis (2.0) has been killing me a couple leagues recently with lines like this: 2 points (1-7 from the floor), 4 boards, 4 assists, 0 threes. Matt Carroll (1.9) was 1 of 9 shooting in 34 minutes for the Bobcats. He scored 2 points, with 4 boards and 3 assists.

When I read this yesterday and notice Shaun Livingston name I was like WOW it’s a miracle. I didn’t even know he was back lol I’ll take a gamble on him next year. If he’ll be playing by next year.
