Thanks for the tip Barkley Gaiden. The other reviews were pretty bad, so I didn't have high hopes for it. Too bad, because in the right hands a game like that could actually be funny.

And I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one with an obsession for Live 95.

jordan vs bird shouldve been there. I had that on a tiger electronic handheld. I whipped MJ into submission one time 299-17 or something. 299 is the max. Never played it again, i didnt have to. I retired it alongside my sterling sharp and shawn kemp topps finest refractors.

3. I downloaded the Barkley Gaiden game, and I will say this: The intro was so long that I gave up after about 5 minutes of playing the first level because I was bored already. They needed to get The Cavalier or Skeets or the Free Darko guys or Gilbert Arenas to do the writing if they were going to try to write something that tried to be as clever as it obviously wanted to be. You're probably better off trying to find an emulated copy of Jordan vs. Bird. I feel like I missed out on part of my childhood now by not having played that game.

2. I remember renting Barkely: SU&J and playing it pretty much all weekend with my friend yelling "Your mama smells like tunaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa fish!" every time he shot a three. The "tuna" started with the shooting motion and the "fish" came when the ball went in.

I will split my comments into 3 parts, with each part addressing my memories of the games you have described. I will omit Jordan vs. Bird since I didn't play that game, and instead played Team USA Basketball.

1. NBA Live 05: I led my Portland Trail Blazers to the NBA Championship with a team featuring a 5'3", 300lb abomination of domination of a point guard, and a 7'11", 300lb bald white guy from BYU. I don't remember either of their names exactly, but watching that 5'3" ball of fury fly through the land for dunks was AWE inspiring. BWG preferred to stay outside and bomb wide open threes. And every three was wide open. Because he was 7'11".
