I actually thought that getting Tyrus Thomas was a good move at the time, even though I also really wanted Aldridge. If the Bulls would play Tyrus as much as the Blazers play Roy and Aldridge, it probably wouldn't seem like such a bad pick. Also, I really wanted the Bulls to trade Ben Gordon at the time (and kind of still do), so taking Roy would have been perfect in my plan for the team. Mike, I hear you. It really was the front office that killed them there those years with the Baby Bulls. Tyson Chandler instead of Pau Gasol at #2? Eddy Curry at #4. Ridiculous. And I rue the fact that they drafted Tyrus Thomas, but I think it was understandable why they did not get Roy. They were so deep at the guard/small forward position that he would have never developed to what he is today.
