If you’ve followed Give Me The Rock for anything more than 67 days, you probably know that Patrick and I both have Chris Paul on at least one of our fantasy teams. And, in fact, Patrick’s GMTR Readers League team is named: I Heart Chris Paul. I’m sure if Yahoo allowed him to use the Wingding font for Heart, he probably would have. Anyway, it is my great honor and privilege to announce that the GMTR Fantasy MVP Candidate for Hope is none other than Chris Paul.
So for all two of you Chris Paul haters out there, are you sure you really want to be anti-hope?
Line of the Night: Chris Paul eeked it out with a 4.89. I was surprised by the low score when I saw that he had 25 points and 14 assists, but I guess his 2 steals weren’t enough to trick the Fantasy Rater into thinking he played defense as well as say…
Honorable Mentions: Rasheed Wallace (4.83). Ever so close to LotN, with 21 points, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. Marcus Camby was also pretty close with 4.78 coming from 12 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 blocks that pretty much canceled out anything Wallace put up on the defensive end. Paul’s teammate Peja Stojakovic (4.58) had 27 points with 6 threes, but JR Smith (4.47) made 8 threes en route to 28 points. In between Peja and Smith was Paul Pierce (4.55) helping Boston win against Indiana with 28/12/5.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Dorrell Wright (4.20) has probably been picked up in most leagues by now, but in case he hasn’t, take a look at his 19/8/4 with 2 threes, 2 steals, and a block.
Sebastian Telfair (3.98) played 30+ minutes for the 2nd night in a row, and did a lot better this time with 24/3/7 on 8-17 and 5-5.
The Biggest Loser: Linas Kleiza (1.79) has played well enough to get the LotN (at least once, if I recall correctly), but he always seems to do that at some point in the season. The problem is you never know when the streak is going to start and when it’s going to end. Last night he was down to 18 minutes, and only had 6 points and 3 rebounds.
Tayshaun Prince (2.06) had 6/5/2 on 2-10 shooting.
The Big Winners: Sacramento Kings fans could pretty much already imagine their favorite Kings Dance Team members practically naked. Now they can imagine them drunk with candy cane phalli as well. (You can also use phalluses for the plural form, but I thought phalli was more interesting)

YES WE CAN!
… enjoy those pictures.
