Amare will be C eligible next season at least, and as Nels mentioned, Shaq will be hard pressed to log 82 games over the rest of his career. I think we have reached the point, like Tommy John surgery in baseball, where guys can come back from microfracture with no long-term effects if the surgery is done correctly.

My guess is that Amare may not start the next few seasons (while Shaq is around) C eligible, but if there's anything you can count on, it's Shaq missing at least 10 games.

Think Amare will stay C elig? My league requires him to make 10 starts at that position, will Shaq change it that much? Are we past the point that Microfracture is a dirty word when thinking about STAT?

LeBron is the obvious choice. After that, there is a handful of guys you could go with and be happy about it. My vote would probably be for Amare, as long as he's center eligible anyway.

Mike, I definitely considered Kobe, but I've managed to pick him for a team every year that he's played less than 77 games, so I just know I'd be in for a jinx there. I'd say he's probably #4 or #5 on my list.

btw, i would take lebron james (since he can do it all) and kobe who never seems to age and worry about centers later. chris paul is enticing, but i think his stats may fall back down to earth in the second half

Well, after looking at the Player Rater, maybe Amare is a better choice than Supaman.

@Patrick, how can I get my mind out of the gutter when you keep talking about your gay porn search?

@HoopStar, off the top of my head, I'd go with Dwight Howard and LeBron James. You'd have to consider Chris Paul, though, too.
