Line of the Night: I’ve run out of things to say about Chris Paul (6.5) other than the fact that yesterday he scored 37 points (15-21 from the field) with 13 assists and 3 steals. And today is the day I write him down as my fantasy MVP on the year. In pen, so you know, it’s permanent.
Honorable Mentions: Mike Dunleavy (6.1) scored 36 by going 15-20 from the floor and added 4 threes and a couple blocks; Danny Granger (5.1) had 26 and 11 with 2 steals; Al Horford (4.8) channeled his inner Marcus Camby by going for 12/15/6 with 2 blocks; and Big Al Jefferson (4.7) had a big night with 22 and 14 and 4 blocks.
Knicks are People Too: Congratulations to Zach Randolph (4.8), who put up the fourth best line by scoring 21 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and going an amazing 3-5 from the three. Keep up the good work Zack, you’ll always have day 140 to remember.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Kyle Korver (4.3). Well, this is a relief. The WWLotN has had a disturbing lack of pretty white boys with 400 dollar haircuts this year. Sure, there’s been Beno Udrih, but he has the same kind of haircut my mother use to give me back when I was in high school the 3rd grade. The best word to describe Korver’s recent play is stylishly efficient, as he’s gotten exactly 24 minutes each of the last three games. Yesterday, he used that time to rack up a line of 17/4/4 with a couple steals.

Amazingly, Korver’s Hair Looks Exactly the Same During Games

Rise with Us: if you’re looking for threes in your league, then I’d actually recommend Juan Carlos Navarro (4.2) over Korver. Again, the haircut leaves a lot of be desired, but the threes (3, 3, and 4 in his last three games) are nice and you’ve got to love that he started and got 35 minutes yesterday.
And we’ve finally gotten to that point in the season. The Knicks are rolling out rookie Wilson Chandler (3.8) as their starting small forward. Chandler played 33 minutes, scoring 15 points, grabbing 8 boards, and nabbing 2 steals as the Knicks lost their 9th game out of their last 10.
Biggest Loser: I’m struggling to find the right word to describe Zydrunas Ilgauskas’ (1.6) play yesterday. Lumbering? Statuesque? Ostertagian? The stats don’t really describe his performance, but he went 2-10 from the floor and scored a whopping 4 points. He did manage 7 rebounds, but crapped his game off with 0 assists and 0 blocks.
Dishonorable Mentions: Cuttino Mobley (1.8) shot 3-15 on the night; and the guy who is going to help Lebron win a championship, Wally Szczerbiak (1.4), played a total of 6 minutes, going 1-4 from the field.
