It was a joke more about their respective roles with the Celtics (as discussed here) rather than a comparison of their games. I actually like Leon Powe quite a bit. I'm glad he's finally getting some play from Doc Rivers.

So how exactly is Leon Powe a "poor man's Ryan Gomes"?? Do you even watch Celtics games? Their games are totally different. And for what the Celtics need, I'll take Leon Powe all day.

kevin, with you’re team as it currently stands, I don’t think you need any of my advice to win the league. AI, Kobe, Howard, Granger, etc? That is a nice, nice team. But, if you’re going to make a move, it looks like you have assists wrapped up with AI, Bibby, and Ford, so one or both of Quinn or Udrih is expendable. It’s expected that Udrih will be back for Tuesday game, but he’s still a risky play. I wouldn’t feel comfortable sticking him out there and hoping for the best. I thought about Powe myself for next week, but the Celtics only have 3 games and if KG plays in any of them, then Powe loses a lot of his value. Stevenson would be a safe pickup, although the Wizards only have 3 games next week as well. One guy I picked up for my team today was Francisco Garcia. A little risky, but I’ve had good luck with him this year. Also, if you’re looking for some size, there is always Mikki Moore or even Rasho Nesterovic. Sounds crazy, but look at this game log…

Good luck next week man.

So I'm heading into the finals in a 9 cat league, looking at my waiver wire, Rip, Kaman, Stevenson, Jack, Powe, House are all available. I've got Young, Quinn and Udrih oh my team right now and they're expendable. I was thinking about picking up Stevenson + Powe for Young and Quinn/Udrih. Quinn has been putting up some solid numbers for the crappy heat, and Udrih... Well I know what he can do but the injury has been a little concerning.
I've got a smallball lineup (AI, Kobe, Josh Howard, Granger, Dunleavy, Bibby, Ford, Okur, Perk, along with Young, Quinn and Udrih)

with 3pts, FT%, Pts, Ast, Stl being my strong cats

Who do you guys think would be the best pickups heading into the finals?

Thanks for all the great advice guys
