Here’s what I wrote for my prediction at With Malice, just so it’s on the record books. I’m sure Patrick is going to be a little more demonstrative in his prediction of how many games it will take for the Celtics to win.

The Celtics are older, but not so old that they’ll be outrun or out hustled by the Lakers. Just old enough to have enough at stake that they have to win it now. The Lakers can make another run next year, and probably the year after that and still be successful. The Celtics might not have as large a window, so their Big 3 will be fighting harder for it. Celtics in 6.

Other Stuff Like This:

  • I can't tell you how badly I hope you're right. But not 'cause it's classified. In fact, I'm sure I could tell you. I guess it's just an expression for lazy people. Or something. (cough)

Hey, go Celts (anyone but LA)!
  • For you, TB, let's hope for another Blazers/Bulls Finals soon. Not quite the nostalgiarifficness of Celtics/Lakers, but close, I'm sure.
  • The Celtics to win? No one on the Celtics is going to step up their game in this series like Kobe, one good shooting game aside, Ray Allen looks like toast, and most of all, Doc Rivers vs. Phil Jackson scares the bejesus out of me. Plus, I hear <a href="http://with-malice.com/2008/06/04/chuck-norris-plays-in-la/
">Chuck Norris is a Laker fan. The cards are not falling the Celtics way.
  • Wow! Really? I'm not seeing that... I agree with the age difference argument, but I just think LA has the momentum.
