While we are, in reality, constantly updating the Big Board, it’s been long enough that I feel an announcement is warranted.

For those who care – the comment system test was successful. However, I’m going to try upgrading to the latest WordPress, and then using the newer version of the Disqus plugin so that I can have a local version of the comments as well as the version stored on the Disqus servers.

What is the deal with the Billups rank? He finished 13th last year. He gives second round output every year. He is also very low risk. You have him ranked 28th.

I just went back to this post from almost a year ago.

You had Billups down at 32 going into last year. Where is the love? I am not criticizing you for being wrong on him last year, just was curious of your reasoning for having him ranked so low again this year.

You know, bucko, you make a very good point. We’ll see what Patrick thinks, but I’ve moved Billups to #19 now, making him 23.5 between the two of us, and putting him into the second round. I was pessimistic on Billups last season because I thought he was going to start showing signs of his age. But, as you point out, he really hasn’t.

Billups is guy that most years slips out of the 2nd round in drafts, but that is where he should be drafted. In terms of age, he is only 31. In comparison, Iverson is 33, Garnett is 32, and Camby and Nash are 34. An age drop off could happen this year, but I’d say its probably another year or two away.

Thanks for taking my comments into consideration. I really respect the skill you guys have.

BTW.. want to see something hilarious? Check out Sportsline’s rankings. http://psl.basketball.sportsline.com/players/rankings

Can you believe these guys are getting paid?

    Marion 15th among forwards
    Billups 29th among guards
    Dwight Howard 1st among centers

You would draft Danilo Gallinari over Thad Young, Brendan Haywood, Ramon Sessions, Chrix Wilcox, Luis Scola, Louis Williams, Larry Hughes, Udonis Haslem, Andray Blatche, Mike Conley, Kendrick Perkins, Joakim Noah, etc., etc.?

    Really?

Good call, Andrew. We put out the updates frequently so that people will review often and point out the stupid mistakes we make. I also changed around some stuff as the result of the Mo Williams trade.
