Line of the Night: Patrick called out Danny Granger yesterday and Granger responded with a fairly blistering 1.52. He failed Patrick Free Agent FG% test by shooting 72% and making 4/4 free throws en route to 34/4/3 with 3 threes, 2 steals, and 3 blocks.
Honorable Mentions: Chris Bosh (1.40) looked like he was trying to single-handedly beat the Magic himself, scoring 40 points, grabbing 18 rebounds, while shooting 73.7% from the field. The 12/16 from the line was probably what kept him from the Line of the Night.
Antawn Jamison (1.29) had 25/12/4 with 2 threes and shooting 60%.
Kobe Bryant topped 1.0 with a 1.19 by scoring 21 points with 3 threes, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists plus 3 steals and 2 blocks. I’m sure pretty much everyone in the league is looking forward to playing the Bulls matador defense right now.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Right after Kobe on the top lines of the night is Rasho Nesterovic (0.97) with 21/7/5 with 2 steals and 3 blocks. He shot 50% on 18 shots, so he passes the Free Agent FG% Test. He had 12 and 12 with 2 blocks in the Pacers’ previous game against the Bulls, but this one makes him look like a legitimate pickup.
Anthony Morrow (0.83) had another big game with 25/4/1 with 4 threes, but if he’s still available you’re league is either really shallow or lacking in competitive spirit. Or no one in your league is reading Give Me The Rock.
The Biggest Loser: This is kind of a hard one, so feel free to add your team’s losers to the comments. I’m going with Luol Deng (-0.41) who played 26 minutes, scoring only 9 points, with 4 rebounds and 3 turnovers. Deng ended up at 175 out of 212 players yesterday. Everyone else after him just looked like the kind of guys who should be in the bottom 50.
All Eyez On Me: I’ll be watching the Bulls @ Portland (at least until I fall asleep) since I’ve got Derrick Rose on two of my teams, and I also will take any chance I can get to see Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, and LaMarcus Aldridge (not to mention Rudy Fernandez and Travis Outlaw).
Other interesting games will be: Cleveland @ Detroit – I think LeBron James may another LotN-worthy game coming; Dallas @ Houston – while it seems like all those Texas teams do is play each other, I’m interested in who’s going to suit up for the Rockets and how many minutes Yao and Ron Artest will play.
