Line of the Night:On a night full of good performance, it was Chris Kaman’s (1.57) 25 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks that can be held up as a shining beacon of sweet, sweet goodness. While Kaman’s dominate game came against the OKC’s non-stopper Robert (can I call you Bob) Swift, you have to feel good about Kaman’s fantasy performance up to this point in the season. He’s had double-digit rebounding totals in 8 of LA’s 11 games and has had double-doubles in 7 of those games. His rebounding is down about 2/game from last year, which is not all too bad considering he is now competing with Marcus Camby for boards.

Honorable Mentions: Dwyane Wade (1.52) was edged out by Kaman for LotN despite throwing down 40 points and 11 assists in a loss to Toronto; The Wizards are hugely disappointing, but don’t blame Caron Butler (1.48) and his 32 points and 4 threes; Andrei Kirilenko (1.14) played some point for the Jazz yesterday. Hey, whatever works. AK the PG had 5 steals and 4 blocks; and a career-high 14 rebounds for Marvin Williams (1.02), who also hit the go-ahead three for the Hawks with 26 seconds left in the game.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night:Andrea Bargnani (0.93) is owned in only 48% of Yahoo leagues, so I guess he kind of counts as a waiver wire guy (or free agent, if you subscribe to the Nels’ school of Linguistics). A season high 25 points and 37 for A-Barg. He’s also starting now at the expense of Jamario Moon and his poor, stupid owners, so he seems like a safe buy.

In deeper leagues, my boy Joel Przybilla (0.9) had 14 and 9. Of course, it came against the super sucktastic Bulls’ centers, so I’d advise against picking him up. Especially with Greg Oden (11 and 10) looking strong and ready to take back his starting role.

In an amazing display of space and time, Damien Wilkins (0.7) scored 17 points, had 5 rebounds, 2 threes and 2 steals in less than 21 minutes on the court. Wilkins has been out of the Thunder’s rotation this season, but with Desmond Mason injured and out for the next two weeks or so, he could be a decent short-term add if you’re fairly desperate for offense stats.

Biggest Loser: With a blazing start to his career, the expectations for Derrick Rose (-0.51) have been ramped up a notch. But, he’s still a rookie, which means there will be inconsistent games this season. Yesterday, he shot 1-8 from the field and had 6 points and 1 assist in 30 minutes.

Dishonorable Mentions: Mehmet Okur (-0.36) only played 20 minutes yesterday, missed all three shots he took and scored 1 point.

All Eyez on Me: Nels gets all the easy daily recaps… Only two games tonight, but they are good ones:

Detroit @ Boston – the return of KG off his one game suspension and a possible preview of the Eastern Conference Championship series. The one thing I know: this will not be a game full of great fantasy performances, with the possible exception of Paul Pierce, who I predict will take 132 free throws tonight.

LA Lakers @ Phoenix – And the question on everyone’s mind is – what’s on Shaq’s mind? Yes, the real Shaq is apparently Twittering. Don’t confuse it with the new GMTR Twitter feed, or more accurately, Nels’ GMTR Twitter. Don’t worry Nels, I’ll sign up and give it a try, although I’m not sure I can write a coherent thought in less than 1000 words.

Anyway, a taste of what’s currently on the real Shaq’s mind:

Im at dinner wit the wifey deluxe burger in phoenix, um um um

ABOUT TO EAT DINNER, I PASSED UP 20 MCDONALDS TODAY. I COULDNT DO IT I’M ON A DIET,BUT MCDONALDS FRIES R THE BEST UM UM UM

I just texted gary payton, one of the greatest point guards ever

Don’t get yourself in too deep, cause you won’t be able to get the smell off.
