Day 43 of 170: Rashard Lewis isn't Kidding around

It’s a pun. You see…

Line of the Night: In what I believe is our first tie for Line of the Night, both Jason Kidd and Rashard Lewis scored 1.27. Kidd goes first since his name comes just before Lewis alphabetically, and he had a vintage Kidd line with 24/8/12, three threes, 2 steals, and a block. And he only turned the ball over 3 times while shooting 67% from the field. Lewis did it his way with 26/9/4 on 56% and 6 three-pointers. Personally, I’d rather have Kidd’s line, but Rashard didn’t turn the ball over, so maybe that looks better to you.

Honorable Mentions: Tim Duncan (1.23) was pretty close with 32 and 14 including 89% from the line! Caron Butler (0.98) came through for Washington with 33 points; LeBron James (0.94) had 31 points and 3 steals; LaMarcus Aldridge (0.94) had 25 and 13 on 70% shooting with 2 steals and 2 blocks; Jameer Nelson (0.93) had 21 points on 4 three-pointers, and finally, Josh Smith (0.88) had a very Josh-Smithy game with 13 and 11 adding 3 steals and 5 blocks. Player Raters love defense, but not when it comes with 26% shooting.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Raja Bell (0.73) was pretty close with 14 and 7 and 4 three-pointers, but he’s owned in 55% of Yahoo leagues (thus failing Patrick’s WW test of < 50% owned), so let’s look at Juan Dixon (0.66) who is only owned in 1%. Dixon had 16/4/7 with 2 threes. Unfortunately, he fails the next test because he shot 71% from the field (that test is the 70%+ test).

Joel Pryzbilla (0.50) had 11 and 11 with 2 blocks, but also failed the FG% test with 83%.

The Biggest Loser: I’m not exactly sure how this qualified as the worst line of the night, but Kevin Love (-0.72) shot himself in the foot (so to speak) by only making 3 of 9 shots from the field and 2 of 9 from the line. I guess it was the 22% from the line that really pushed him down because other than that he had 8 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 steals.

All Eyez On Me: Another 9 games tonight, but the only one that looks really interesting is Phoenix @ LAL.

Kevin Durant probably has a good chance for LotN against Memphis tonight, and even better, OKC gets a chance to play a team who’s only 1-10 on the road (of course, they’re only 1-10 at home).

do you guys think mike james or Boris diaw are now worth picking up?? I'm learning towards diaw starting at PF for Charlotte and going back to being a point-forward racking up those assists.

He's not going to have the LOTN tomorrow morning, but will you please, for the love of everything holy, please point out that Rudy Gay FINALLY had a "Rudy Gay" game in OKC?

If you've got a spot to spare, yeah I'd give Diaw a run, just to see if he can regain some of that magic. Plus, the minutes will be there.

    Mike James? not so much.
