Line of the Night: This is why you draft Tracy McGrady (1.14) around #60 (his average draft position on Yahoo). Right now he’s at #81 on the Player Rater, but he’s been out a while already, so he should be climbing. Especially with nights like last night where he had a big Trip Dub with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. He also had a steal and 3 blocks. And if you average that out with the games he missed… well, you know what you’re getting with T-Mac.
Honorable Mentions: Right behind T-Mac was Brandon Roy (1.13), who I believe has yet to get an actual LotN. Roy finished last night with 29 points, making all 15 of this free throws. DJ Augustin (1.00) benefited from a questionable foul call near the end of the game to get some extra free throws in, and send the game to overtime. He ended with 29 points, 7 assists and 4 threes. He only shot 37% from the field, but made all of his 13 free throws. Kobe Bryant (0.99) was quick on the heels of Augustine with 28/7/6 and 4 steals. He did not make all of his free throws.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Tyrus Thomas (0.73) had his second good game in a row, which means he’ll probably disappear for a few games now. Thomas had 22 and 9 with 2 blocks.
Derek Fisher (0.54) is not quite as explosive as Thomas, but also a slight bit more consistent. Last night, Fish had 15 points with 2 threes and 7 assists.
I’m not sure what people are thinking, but Eric Gordon (0.48) is still only owned in 27% of Yahoo leagues. I guess only about 27% of people on Yahoo read GMTR.
The Biggest Loser: Obviously, Michelle Aguilar (-45.45%). Followed closely by Derrick Rose (-0.43), who did manage to add 5 rebounds and 7 assists to his craptacular 3/16 shooting. But you have to take the good and bad with every player. Except Chris Paul.
All Eyez On Me: Boston heads to Atlanta in a rematch of last year’s nearly disastrous (for the Celtics) first-round series. No Josh Childress this time around, though.
LeBron James should have something of a field day against the Timberwolves. Probably a LotN candidate unless they just totally blow them out.
And look for another Danny Grangerlicious line as the Pacers up the pace to play Golden State. Always good fantasy times when the Warriors come around.
