The other day, he tried to sell my grandfather a dickfor.

Line of the Night: I have to admit, I was not totally prepared for Devin Harris taking the leap this season. Danny Granger, sure, Rajon Rondo, possible, but I wasn’t expecting Harris to do the same thing, probably because he was entering his 6th season in the league rather than his 3rd or 4th. But last night, Harris (1.79) torched his former team for 41 points, 13 assists, 5 threes and 3 steals. Of course, being guarded by Jason Kidd is kind of the PG equivalent of playing against Golden State, but Harris rose to the occasion with a LotN performance.

Honorable Mentions: Vince Carter (1.54) wasn’t being guarded by Jason Kidd, but still took advantage of some weak Dallas defense to score 34 points while adding 10 boards, 6 assists and 4 threes; a hearty congrats to all of you who snagged Boris Diaw (1.09) after his trade to Charlotte. As long as he can keep up the 26 and 10 games (with 4 threes) you’ve gotten something for nothing (which makes you either the reverse Kevin McHale or Bernie Madoff); Rasheed Wallace (1.06) only had 12 points and 8 boards, but filled the rest of the stat sheet with 3 steals, 4 blocks, and 4 threes; Allen Iverson (1.04) used 2 OTs to get his (38/5/7).

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Roy Hibbert (0.85) got the start at center for the Pacers in place of Troy Murphy – who was held out of the game with flu-like symptoms. Hibbert scored a career high 16 points, adding 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in 23 minutes. Murphy is expected to be out again tonight, so Hibbert looks to be a short, short, short term add.

Jarrett Jack (0.77) had 24 points and 7 assists starting in place of an injured TJ Ford. Ford came off the bench however, so like Hibbert, his value should be short lived.

Louis Williams (0.75) had 26 points and 4 threes off the bench for the 76ers. Williams is only owned in about 20% of Yahoo leagues and has been on a tear recent as the sixth man for Philadelphia, so give him a look if he’s available in you league.

The Biggest Loser: Lamar Odom (-0.87) led the Lakers in all around suckitude as they got shut down by the Heat 89-87. Odom finished with 3 points off 1-6 shooting and was blocked by first by Joel Anthony and then by Wade as he tried to tie the game at the end of the 4th.

    All Eyez on Me:

Golden State (7-20) at Charlotte (9-18) – Sound the Golden State alarm! Get those Bobcats in your lineup. Yes, even Raja Bell might have a good game.

Indiana (9-17) at Philadelphia (12-14) – The game you’ve all been waiting for! Danny Granger, Marquis Daniels and Troy Murphy all missed yesterday’s game with flu like symptoms and may miss this one today. That can only mean one thing: It’s Roy Hibbert Time!

Los Angeles (21-4) at Orlando (20-6) – Arguably the best game of the night, LA looks to bounce back from last night’s Odenaster. Plus, the Howard/Bynum matchup should be a fun one to watch.

This might be the real test of Sam Dalembert- if he can't assert himself for double-digit rebounds against a capable rookie, it might be indicative of his problems being deeper than we imagined.

I've always thought that an interesting strategy would be to have players with flu-like symptoms play in the game and have them cough all over the other team. Then those guys would get their own flu-like symptoms which would affect them in the next games. I know, probably something only someone who thinks about diabolical fantasy strategies would think of. Of course, I guess there's not much further you can bring down the Clippers even by giving them the flu.

I think Dalembert is who we think he is, which is a slightly more motivated version of Erick Dampier.
