Yeah, like I said at the beginning of the post, it's never been an issue for me either, but evidently people in the GMTR leagues thought it would be. It really hasn't been, since we're all good people. :)

That's cool. I didn't even realize that Yahoo had a setting for that. I'll consider that for next season.

I'm the commish for my league (daily lineups), and I have to admit that I never thought about this issue before. It's never been a problem in the leagues I've played in. Currently, the team with the most moves is my own, with 11 roster changes. The next most is the leader, with 6 moves.

I'm on record in favor of max moves, but max games played is more gray for me. Anyway, good to see you coming around. I'm not saying this is WHY, but the only leagues I'm being so thoroughly dominated in are our weekly leagues...

This is true.

This is my first year to play fantasy NBA and I was worried about this. I ended up playing daily fantasy sports on papersports, because I only wanted to play when I wanted to play. I've ended up playing every night anway, but at least this way, if I forget to draft my team, I lose nothing.

"I thought - and still do - that having daily lineup changes makes it easier for novice fantasy owners to get trounced because they will more easily forget to change their lineup every day, or forgot to set it in advance of a vacation or something."

I'm in a 16-team league right now where you get a maximum of 40 games played per week, The positions are PG, SG, SF, PF, C, G, F, UTIL, UTIL, UTIL with 6 bench slots. This is a neat solution to the streaming problem. I usually end up benching Erick Dampier for every one of his games. Then I have some deicions to make, for example, play Rudy Fernandez against the Lakers? Play Mike James against Cleveland? Those are matchups that I might avoid and bench those guys to conserve games for the week. It's a little different than capping games for the year because it puts everyone on equal footing for the week. Downside is that it takes some planning.
