Line of the Night: Chris Paul (1.40) had 32 points, 15 assists, and 3 steals to lead the Hornets over the league-leading Lakers (okay, they’re tied with Cleveland now after losing to New Orleans). Also of note: His Assist-to-Turnover ratio was INFINITY!
Honorable Mentions: David West (0.98 – 4th on the night) helped the Hornets with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals. Did anyone pick up Paul and West in their Roto league? If so, you had 72 points, 14 rebounds, 15 assists, 5 steals, and 1 turnover last night. That’s a pretty hot 1-2 combo.
Kobe Bryant (1.25) had 39 points with 6 threes; Dirk Nowitzki (1.13) had 34 points on 4 threes.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Mardy Collins (0.78) – owned in 2% of Yahoo leagues – came through at number 8 on the night with 17/6/3 with 2 threes, 3 steals, and a block. If you can make daily changes, pick up Collins since Baron Davis will be out for at least 2 more games. Collins played 45 minutes while Davis sat at home.
The Biggest Loser: Spencer Hawes (-0.45) – owned in 65% of Yahoo league, and started in 32% of them – played only 16 minutes, scoring 3 points on 3/4 from the free throw line, while grabbing 2 rebounds.
All Eyez On Me: Well, if Nawlins upsetting the Lakers and Charlotte taking down the Celtics didn’t do it for you, then maybe you’ll want to see if the Bobcats can extend their win streak against the league-leading Cavaliers. Boston will be going back-to-back against Houston.
Orlando is at Atlanta in what should be a fantasy friendly game.
And Portland will play Detroit to further gauge just how competitive the Blazers can be.
