Line of the Night: It only took him 3 quarters to do what no man could do in 4, but Randy Foye (1.63) walks with the LotN because of a 32 point, 10-16 shooting, and 6 three game. The Wolves rolled OKC 129-87 thanks, in part, to the biggest loser’s performance below.
Honorable Mentions: Danny Granger (1.51) exploded for 37 points (tying his career high), 5 threes, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 game winning three with less than 1 second left; and in a Warriors aided game, Pau Gasol (1.2) treated Andris Biedrins like the gimp in Pulp Fiction while going for 33 and 18, most of that in the 4th quarter.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Feast or famine with Charlie Villanueva (1.06). But today, Charlie is bringing you lunch thanks to a 26 point, 7 board, 3-4 three point game in 35 minutes off the bench for the Bucks. That’s 3 good-to-great games out of his last 4, which means his next game is almost definitely going to be a dud.
Welcome Back: Mike Dunleavy returned to the Pacers for his first game of the season. And he hit the ground running with 14 points and 4 assists in 20 minutes.
The Biggest Loser: Kevin Durant (-0.58). Much of OKC’s embarrassing loss can be traced to Durant, who shot 3-13 from the floor and ended the game with 9 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 22 minutes. Don’t expect to take things easy against the Wolves and get away with it, not when Kevin McHale is running the show.
And Baksetball Monster did not like Allen Iverson’s (-0.64) game in the least bit. He did score 14 points and had 7 assists. I guess his turnovers (4) and shooting (6-19) combined to really piss of BM.
All Eyez on Me: Only two games tonight, so I hope you’re in the mood for either New York (13-20) at Dallas (21-13) or Los Angeles (8-26) at San Antonio (23-11).
Since Golden State isn’t playing, New York becomes your fantasy play of the day. They are allowing their opponents to average 107 points a game, so could Erick Dampier actually have a good game? Ah, I wouldn’t count on it, but stranger things have happened.
And the Clippers will likely run without Baron Davis, Zach Randolph and Chris Kaman, so make sure to get Mardy Collins in you lineup. Don’t make the same mistake that I did and believe Baron will come back quickly from an injury.
