Day 73 of 170: Weakest Line of the Night Ever

Line of the Night: Manu Ginobli (0.86) takes LotN out of only 39 players last night, but it didn’t take much for him to do that. His 13 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals were enough to do it in spite of 4/9 shooting from the field. Nothing terrible there, but nothing outstanding either.

Honorable Mentions: As you can probably guess from that LotN above, there’s wasn’t much honor in the games played yesterday. Chris Duhon (0.67) had 24 and 7 assists. Dirk Nowitzki (0.37) had 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, shooting 24% from the field. David Lee (0.08) had 13 and 15 but that was only good enough for 16th on the night.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Brandon Bass (0.48) had 12 points and 11 rebounds to go with 2 steals and 4 blocks. He was 8/12 from the free throw line, though, and only shot 40% from the field. He’s had 2 decent games in a row now, so expect a 2-3 game slump and then another 2 good games.

The Biggest Loser: Nate Robinson (-0.22) went 4/16 to score 9 points. He had 3 steals, which you think would count for something, but that 25% on 16 shots is a lot to handle.

All Eyez On Me: Atlanta @ Orlando is one that I always think will produce good fantasy performances. It’s the second-half of a home-and-home test for the Hawks, and we’ll see if Orlando can put them away a second time.

Indiana @ LA Lakers might be interesting since we can continue to monitor Mike Dunleavy’s return as well as see Danny Granger and Kobe Bryant. I’ll be interested to see if the Pacers front line can slow down Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.

And on ESPN, Boston plays at Cleveland. Let’s see if the slumping Celtics can get hyped up for this game. Cleveland is defending their 18-0 home record.
