Line of the Night: Chris Paul (1.36). The Mavs decided that making Jason Kidd guard Chris Paul was some kind of sadistic joke, so they stuck the larger Antoine Wright on him most of the game. That plan worked out about as well as Tom Cruise’s accent in Valkyrie. Paul, who if you believe the post game quotes, was seen in 5 different places on the court simultaneously for most of the game, destroyed Wright on his way to a triple-double (33/10/11). In fact, he was just three steals short of a quadruple-double.

Honorable Mentions: A 29/4/6 and 4 threes for Andre Iguodala (0.99) as Philly is finding out they’re actually good without Brand; Brad “Money and Hoes” Miller (0.95) lived up to his middle name with 30 points and 22 rebounds against – 1 guess – your Golden State Warriors. It helped that they went to 3 OTs; and Rodney Stuckey (0.92) had 30 and 9 for Detroit.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Admit it, you just can’t quit Quentin Richardson (0.96) can you? He’s like my underwear: worn out, streaky and full of holes, but somehow still comfortable… Anyway, Q-Rich was 10-16 from the field and 6-7 for three and finished with 26 points.

Nick Young (0.7) – 33 points – continues to do what he does and only what he does. He’s averaging 26 points in the Wizards last 4 games.

Biggest Loser: One of the easiest calls in a long while: Vince Carter (-0.9). Playing against Boston, Carter shot 1-10, scored 4 points and racked up one fake injury in 26 minutes as the Nets got blown out 118-86.

All Eyez on Me: Portland (23-15) at New Jersey (19-20): Vince Carter gets his chance at redemption tonight as New Jersey pays its 3rd game in 4 nights. Both the Nets and the Blazers are playing back to back games after getting blown out last night. I wonder if that will make them more motivated to play tonight or less?

Also, Steve Blake separated his shoulder yesterday and is out indefinitely. In the meantime, Jerryd Bayless is going to get some play, I just hope it’s more productive than his 1-11 shooting night last night.

Phoenix (22-13) at Denver (26-13) – Don’t talk about it too loudly, but what has Shaq been eating (or more presumably, not eating)? The man has 6 double-doubles in his last 7 games and thanks to a FT% that is actually above 60%, he’s actually become a valuable fantasy guy.

Cleveland (30-6) at Chicago (17-22) – All you need to know: LeBron is averaging like 37 points a game against the Bulls in their last 10 games. And make sure to get Anderson Varejao in your lineups for tonight!

I forgot to mention Kobe and his "Sam Cassell Big Balls Dance"; in today's post, mostly because I hate Kobe, Sam Cassell, and people who copy other people and think there as cool as the person they are copying.

For the record, Kevin Martin had 23 points.

I always thought the Big Balls Dance was originally in the movie "Major League 2", by that Japanese guy. Was Kobe really searching for a sports movie on Netflix and got stuck with that? May I suggest "Little Giants", very family friendly, Mr. Family Man.

You may be right, doneycat. It's been a while since I've seen Major League 2. Even as a kid, I was devastated by the fact that Wesley Snipes wasn't Willie Mays Hayes.

Little Giants is a good pick, it's better than any non-Pixar kids movie has a right to be. Anotehr good one is The Sandlot.
