Line of the Night: Troy Murphy (1.04), in what I can only consider some trick of statistics was #1 last night despite shooting 38.5% from the field. He had 17 and 12 with 3 threes, 4 assists, and added 4 steals and a block. I guess I’ve said it before: The Player Rater loves defense… provided no on else is scoring 61 points.

Honorable Mentions: LeBron James (1.01) had 33 and 7, and – more remarkably – made 13 of 13 free throws. Yao Ming (1.00) had 28 points (on 75 and 100), 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Danny Granger (1.00) also had 28 points including 4 three-pointers.

He’s Back of the Night: We know Yao Ming is back now, but Carmelo Anthony (0.87) has returned to form with 35 and 9 on 59% from the field and 93% from the stripe. You don’t want to know what this means for JR Smith. (But I’ll tell you in a second)

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Watch out! Ryan Anderson (0.83) (plays for the Nets) looks like he’s going to become one of those guys who plays pretty well every other game. Last night he had 19 and 7 with 3 three-pointers. Shades of Matt Bonner anyone? Last time I checked, though, the Nets still have Vince Carter, Devin Harris, and Brook Lopez lined up to score ahead of Anderson. Oh, but speakng of Matt Bonner… (you can click on the image for the larger view)

The Biggest Loser: This was a real battle last night. Jamario Moon (-0.62) just wanted it more with his 1 point, 1 rebound performance. Moon is only owned in 61% of Yahoo leagues, though, compared to JR Smith (-0.49), who’s holding strong at 70%. Smith went 1-10 from the field and 3-6 from the line for 6 points. At least he made a three-pointer, since that’s what those 70% of managers hired him for. He also had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, and a block, but turned the ball over 3 times.

All Eyez On Me: The Destroyer of Worlds goes into Toronto tonight, just after the other Destroyer of Worlds (LeBron) pounded the Raptors into submission. Who at the scheduling office thought that was fair? Aren’t we trying to make people in Toronto want to watch basketball?

The Clippers may have Marcus Camby back, but the Magic still bring Dwight Howard to the game tonight.

The Golden Ticket: Golden State hosts Phoenix tonight, so Jason Richardson should have a good opportunity to continue his hot streak.

Meanwhile, Cleveland heads to Madison Square Garden where LeBron will attempt to score 62 points.
