I first saw it on Mookie of A Stern Warning’s Twitter, when he twittered a link to this post. He also got this awesome picture:

DroppingDimes got up a Trade Reaction pretty quickly, as did FantasyBasketball.com The Pulse’s Herbert McDirt. McDirt wrote:

Shawn Marion will get some more value based on the similarities of the Raptors and the Phoenix team he played for last season. Marion isn’t great at creating his own shot, so Calderon and Bosh should help him get more space and give him more lanes in which he can cut to the hoop much like Nash and Stoudemire did in previous years.

I agree with that completely. As for the rest of the Raptors, not too much will change. Andrea Bargnani will continue to see his average minutes climb as he plays 30+ minutes per game. Bargnani is still only owned in 78% of Yahoo leagues, though. Perhaps this trade will draw some attention to him.

Chris Bosh will have free reign at PF when he returns (and with Shawn Marion on the team now, he may be a little more motivated to get back on the floor).

Now to see if Marion can stay happy when he realizes that he still won’t be the biggest star on the team. I mean, I hear Roko Ukic is a rock star.

I see that Erik was quick to snatch up Jamario Moon in the GMTR Reader’s League. I’m also thinking that Moon is a pretty good pickup right now. For the Heat, Jermaine will start at Center (which will be a big increase in fantasy value for him if he can stay on the court), and Michael Beasley will probably start at SF now in place of Shawn Marion. Having Moon as a capable backup, though, will probably mean less minutes required of Beasley, who is, after all, still a rookie.
