Line of the Night: Kobe Bryant (1.44) tried to answer the age-old (or at least, year-old) question: Are the Lakers better without Andrew Bynum? Well, despite Kobe’s 49 points (3 threes, 47% FG, 10-10 FTs) and 11 rebounds, the Lakers could have used Bynum yesterday to slow down the android that the league created to replace Shaq. (There’s got to be at least some bionic knees or something going on)

“We’re going through a period right now where everybody’s just kind of tired a little bit,” Bryant said, “… we’ve been playing lethargic.”

I feel that, buddy, I’ve had a cold for going on 5 days now and I barely even moved this whole weekend.

Honorable Mentions: Matt Barnes (1.11) also helped Phoenix take down the Lakers with his near triple-double: 26 points (5 threes), 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Chauncey Billups (1.00) had 27 points and 4 steals with only 2 turnovers. Troy Murphy (0.98) made 4 threes en route to 22 points and added 18 rebounds.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Yeah, good luck with this one. The closest guy that qualifies is Jarrett Jack (0.60) who came in at 18 over last night, and is owned in 47% of leagues. Jack had 28 points on 3 threes to go with 8 assists.

Down at 23 is Rasual Butler (0.56) who 22 points on 3 threes along with 4 rebounds and a block. I know, not the kind of performance that makes you want to open a new tab and pick him up before anyone else can, right? Butler will give you some points, some threes, and some rebounds, but only occasionally at the same time.

The Biggest Loser: I hate to do this to my friend Jeff (of Pete Marasmitch) while he’s on vacation, but Roko Ukic (-0.66) had the numerically worst line of the night. But, since Ukic is only owned in 0% of Yahoo leagues, his impact was, well, negligible.

Another PG was second from last, and for some reason, Stephon Marbury’s (-0.58) ownership percentage is at 20. He played 12 minutes and had 1 rebound and 3 assists. I hope he’s okay with those minutes, because I expect that to be about his average. Which means that you should be able to take advantage of those 20% of owners who decided to waste a roster spot on him.

Another guy who’s not really the real Biggest Loser for last night is Shawn Marion (-0.50). He was only able to play for 6 minutes before leaving with flu-like symptoms. He had an IV, but it didn’t help. I wish I could have an IV right now. I have to actually drink my liquid myself. I know that I probably wouldn’t last 6 minutes in game appropriate to my skill level right now either. Of course, it sucks for people who had Marion in their lineup to have a game wasted like that. If Marion felt as crappy as I do, he should have just taken the night off. I know I did. I was so tired I actually watched (well, half-watched, half-listened to) Celebrity Apprentice.

All right, enough of my babbling… I don’t really see any big name player who had a total crap game, but if you’d like to mention someone in the comments, feel free.

All Eyez On Me: Cleveland has to face Miami in a back-to-back after beating Atlanta by a single point. Atlanta meanwhile, gets to go back-to-back against the Wizards.

New Orleans will be in Philadelphia, but I guess San Antonio is probably you’re best fantasy load-out since they’re playing the Clippers, whose defense is as holy as the blanket I was wrapped up in last night. This was the first time in my life I’ve understood why one would want a Snuggie.
