…as far as fantasy performances go, of course.
Line of the Night: Lebron James (1.67) had his third straight triple-double last night with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists. What more can you say about Lebron that we haven’t mentioned in the last 137 days? As long as he’s hitting his free throws, there is not a weak spot to his game. The fewest number of games he’s played in during a season is 75. Mike Brown says it’s impossible to average a triple-double over the course of the season, but 60% of the time, Lebron could do it everytime. Nels has him number 1 on his keeper list, while Matt “I’m afraid to rank my keepers” Satten*, has him in the top tier. Plus, he likes to bust out the occasional breakdance.

Honorable Mentions: There were some decent non-LeBron performances with only two games last night. Pau Gasol (0.89) had 23 and 11 with a couple blocks; and Mo Williams (0.87) scored 30 while going 6-10 for three for the Cavs.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Despite starting for the Spurs, Michael Finley (0.55) is only owned in 17% of yahoo leagues, probably because he tends to put up lines with a lot of small numbers in them. But with Manu Ginobili out, Finley’s role in the Spurs offense has grown over the past couple of weeks and yesterday he exploded for 25 points while going 5-6 from three. It’s too bad for him that Manu is expected back soon.
Matt Barnes (0.54) is owned in 55% of leagues, but grab him if he’s available in yours. Against the Cavs, Barnes scored 21 off 9-14 shooting with 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 43 minutes; and despite an otherwise suckass game, Trevor Ariza (0.53) had 4 steals in a start for the Lakers. He now has 15 steals in the Lakers last 6 games. Take a look at him if you need… errr… right – steals.
The Biggest Loser: Delonte West (-0.67) has mixed mediocrity with downright scary fantasy performances since returning from a wrist fracture at the end of February. Last night was definitely one of the later: the 6 points, 0 boards and 2 assists is bad enough, but 7 turnovers too? You might want to sit the next couple plays out champ.
Friday’s Tiny Dancer: Cavalier Girl Sarah, who is in her second year with the team. You can read up on Sarah’s thoughts here and here, or you can just look at her here:

All Eyez on Me: You know it’s a night of uneven games when the best match-ups are probably New Orleans (40-23) at Milwaukee (30-37) or Houston (42-24) at Charlotte (28-36). At least the first game consists of two teams that would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. And in the Rockets game, you can always watch to see if Von Wafer can follow up his
The Golden Ticket: Dallas (40-25) at Golden State (22-42) – the last time they met in January, Dirk only had 20 points while Jason Terry went for 22 as Dallas scored 117 points. I’d have to expect a similar spread around the goodness type of game from Dallas again tonight. Erik Dampier had 10 and 11 in that game in case you feel like getting frisky with your lineup today.
* Just joking Matt, it’s a great and interesting list which I highly recommend reading.
