Line of the Night: Gerald Wallace (1.28) may have had the highest game score last night, but Yao Ming’s (1.14) line was better than Wallace’s in almost every way (in though it took him 2 overtimes to get there). Ming had 31 and 15 with 4 blocks while shooting 13-22 from the floor as the Rockets emerged victorious against the Pistons 106-101.

Honorable Mentions: Wallace wasn’t any slouch, in fact, Basketball Monster was drooling all over his 25 and 12 with 2 steals and 2 blocks; Danny Granger (1.09) got his first start since mid-February and it’s like he never left (although his owners might disagree) – Granger scored 35, was 5-9 from three and grabbed 10 boards; and Andre Miller (1.08) had a Phoenix-enhanced 23 points, 8 assists and 2 steals.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: How can a 10 point, 7 rebound game be the best free agent performance out of 11 games? When the Grizzles’ Darrell Arthur (1.05) also had a season high 4 steals and a season high 5 blocks in the same game. Don’t expect that to happen again anytime soon.
Even with Zach Randolph, Kaman and Camby playing in last night’s game for the Clippers, Steve Novak (0.85) found a way to get 26 minutes. And he made the most of those minutes, going 6-10 from three and scoring 21 points. I have no f-ing clue if Steve Novak is for real, but the man keeps putting up impressive fantasy lines.
And Arron Afflalo (0.68) had 24 points and hit 4 threes in 45 minutes for the Pistons. Yeah, it was a double-overtime game, but with both Allen Iverson and Rip Hamilton sidelined with nagging injuries, Afflalo is the Pistons new starting shooting guard.
The Biggest Loser: The BL gets the day off today. There were 11 games yesterday and not one horrific, ruin-your-team’s-entire-week type performance. It’s a little disappointing to tell you the truth.
All Eyez on Me: The NBA is going with three games tonight instead of the customary two, including Dallas (41-27) at Atlanta (40-28), Portland (43-25) at Cleveland (54-13), and Golden State (24-43) at Los Angeles (53-14). So, what are the odds for the Line of the Night tomorrow?
LeBron James +200
Kobe Bryant +500
Pau Gasol +800
Stephen Jackson +800
Dirk Nowitzki +1,000
Greg Oden +50,000
