Line of the Night: It was a close one between the crazy Gerald Wallace (1.53) and Chris Paul (1.52). On one knee and with one lung, Wallace shot 9-13 from the field, scoring 30 points in a 102-89 win over Toronto. He added 9 boards, 8 assists, 2 threes, 2 steals and 2 blocks in 41 minutes. Paul put up similar numbers, scoring 32 on 12-18 shooting, with 5 boards, 9 assists and 5 steals in a win over Memphis.

Honorable Mentions: J.R. Smith (1.39) scored a season-high 40 points with 3 steals, but he “only” was 3-8 from behind the arc; and Antonio McDyess continues to put up insane numbers for Detroit, pulling down another double-double with 24 and 17.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: I deleted Chris Andersen (1.25) off the list of centers to take a look at for your team (really) because he had gone through a stretch where he averaging less than 20 minutes a game. And though his per minute stats were still solid, the lack of minutes were hurting his fantasy value. So what does he do in the Nuggets’ very next game? Score 18 points and grab 11 boards with 6 blocks in only 22 minutes, proving that Chris Andersen does not follow the normal rules of anything. So, I officially put him back on the list of centers, his 20 minutes a game and all.
The Biggest Loser: Larry Hughes (-0.69). Put Hughes on the court for 30 minutes a game, you’re bound to get some performances like this: 3 points off 1-8 shooting, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and no steals or blocks. It is part of a 4 game shooting slump for Hughes, who has to be absolutely killing your team’s FG% if he’s in your starting lineup.
All Eyez On Me: Atlanta (41-28) at Cleveland (55-13) – Flip Murray = still a viable fantasy play. Flip scored 19 points for the Hawks in 31 minutes on Thursday and is worthy of a pickup in deep leagues if you need the points. Wally Szczerbiak… not a viable fantasy player.
Los Angeles (54-14) at Chicago (32-37) – I saw a headline that Bynum was inserted into the starting lineup yesterday. After a second of excitement, I realized that they were talking about Will Bynum, the Detroit Pistons, and that the Lakers didn’t even play yesterday. So, yeah, don’t expect Andrew Bynum to return for this one.
New York (28-40) at Orlando (50-18) – The Knicks are your Golden Ticket fill-in matchup of the day. I’m not sure who they are going use to guard Dwight Howard (David Lee? Chris Wilcox?) but the results are not likely to be pretty. Expect Howard to have a huge game.
