Line of the Night: Pau Gasol (1.47) came 3 assists short of a triple-double, scoring a season high 34 points with 11 boards and 7 assists in a Lakers win over the Nets. While Kobe hurt himself in the first half of the game and limped through the second half, Pau picked up the slack by shooting an incredible 14-19 on the night, adding 2 steals and 2 blocks in 45 minutes on the court.

    Lakers Thunder Basketball

Honorable Mentions: Carmelo Anthony (1.18) dropped 43 on the Mavs with 11 rebounds and had a nice shooting night (18-29 from the field) himself; and Chris Bosh (1.18) went for 21 and 13 with 3 blocks against Jeff Green and the OKC.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Mavs guard Jose Juan Barea (0.97) had a hot hand yesterday, going 8-12 from the floor and 5-7 from three to score 22 points. Its Barea’s second straight game going for 20+, but it probably helped that Jason Kidd sat out with a back injury on Friday, giving Barea some extra playing time and responsibility. Kidd’s injury doesn’t sound serious enough for him to miss any extended time.

The Biggest Loser: Andre Miller (-0.6). One rule we have a GMTR – when you shoot 2-11 from the floor and turn the ball over 5 times, you’re gonna be the biggest loser the next day. Really, there is no way around it.

All Eyez on Me: Phoenix (40-32) at Utah (44-27) – One of the better, if not best, games going tonight consists of two teams fighting for playoff spots in the West. The Jazz have won 13 straight at home, allowing opponents to score only 90.8 points a game. Phoenix is averaging 109 points a game and scored 118 points against the Jazz when they played in Phoenix on Wednesday. We’ll see if they can do it again.

The Golden Ticket: Golden State (25-47) at Denver (47-26) – Can Carmelo Anthony score more than the 43 he put up against the Mavs last night? How many threes can J.R. Smith hit? Can the Birdman soar like an eagle? Tune in tonight to find out.
