APRIL FOOLS, as they say. See I can do that to you guys because I’m actually recapping what happened yesterday and… ok, its still lame.

Line of the Night: If we decide to go back through 170 days of LotNs at the end of the year and count up who got the most, I think it’d be a three way race between LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Paul (1.23). Yesterday, Paul worked the Clippers for 30 points and 14 assists, shooting 13 of 19 from the field and adding 6 steals. It was just another day at the office for Paul, who currently leads the league in steals at a crazy 2.9 a game (Wade is second at 2.3). He has 7 games this year with 6 or more steals.

Honorable Mentions: Mike Conley (1.15) – who was owned in 57% of Yahoo leagues last time I checked – slides over the waiver wire bar and into the big boy’s honorable mentions list. He had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 threes in a Memphis win over the Wizards. I’m not sure if I’m buying this “Mike Conley is good” act, especially going into next season’s drafts. Something doesn’t smell right about it; It took an overtime game against Golden State, but Francisco Garcia (1.01) filled up the box score with 22/4/5, adding 3 threes and 3 steals in 45 minutes off the bench for the Kings; and I have to mention Steve Nash (0.86) who dropped 17 assists against the Rockets. There we so many assists from Nash that Matt Barnes was the lowest scoring Suns starter with 16 points.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Well, Shane Battier (0.78) had 18 points, 6 boards, 2 steals and 2 blocks and is currently owned in 48% of leagues. His ownership should go up as he’s been accumulating actual stats in addition to intangibles since March 22; other than that, Ryan Anderson (0.61) had 14 points, 5 boards and 2 blocks for the Nets. He’s now starting ahead of super-bust Yi Jianlian for New Jersey.

The Biggest Loser: Lets go ahead and give it to Allen Iverson (-0.51) for the second straight day. Iverson (who is still coming off the bench for the Pistons), missed 7 of the 8 shots he took, scoring 4 points in 17 minutes. It time to officially bench Iverson until further notice.

All Eyez on Me: The NBA throws three games at us today, the best of which being Utah (46-28) at Denver (49-26). But much more important than this single game is the online petition started by denverstiffs to Bring Back Birdman! (via the Nugg Doctor). Now is your chance to tell the Nuggets that you want more Birdman in your life (provided you live in the Denver area, I guess).

Cleveland (61-13) at Washington (17-59) – Forget about Glbert Arenas, Brendan Haywood finally returned to the Wizards this week, blocking 3 shots in 24 minutes in his first game back. Haywood has no fantasy value this season, but he’ll probably cause trouble for anyone still trying to squeeze something out of Andray Blatche.
