Line of the Night: Chris Paul (1.36) took advantage of the Golden Ticket to score 43 points with 9 assists, 4 threes and 3 steals. David West was the only other Hornet who scored over 10 points (he had 31) as the Hornets lost to the Warriors 111-103. That’s what happens when you play 2 on 5 basketball.
Honorable Mentions: Deron Williams (1.04) had 34 points and 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Jazz who lost to the Timberwolves; LaMarcus Aldridge (1.00) had 35 points and a career-high 18 boards against the Thunder (the man just keeps getting better and better); and Jamal Crawford (0.99) dropped 39 points on the Hornets for his BFF Don Nelson.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Rodney Carney (0.82). If more people cared about fantasy basketball (or were still playing) at this point in the season, then Carney would be owned in more than 5% of leagues right now. In a 103-102 win against the Jazz yesterday, Carney scored 25 points, was 5-8 from three and 8-13 overall, adding 5 boards.

Anthony Randolph (0.48) scored 20 and added a career-high 15 boards for the Warriors. He’s now had 3 double-doubles in his last 4 games.
The Biggest Loser: Kevin Durant (-0.46) only had about the 20th worst fantasy game of everyone playing yesterday, but the expectations he brings with him are higher than say, Vlad Radmanovic (-0.73) or Cedric Simmons (-0.66). KD scored 13 points on 4-13 shooting and contributed 4 turnovers as the OKC got blown out 107-72 by LaMarcus Aldridge and the Blazers.
All Eyez on Me: Detroit (36-39) at Philadelphia (39-35) – This game is on ESPN, so it must be good. Allen Iverson is going to miss the rest of the season with a “back injury” which is code for I don’t want to come off the bench. Rasheed Wallace, on the other hand, returned to Detroit’s lineup this past Tuesday and seems cool with coming off the bench – for now anyway.
Orlando (56-19) at Atlanta (43-33) – The Magic are one game behind the Celtics for the #2 seed in the East. They certainly helped their cause last night, destroying the Cavs 116-87, although the C’s won as well (beating the Hawks of all teams). And one of my new favorite players is Marcin Gortat, backup center for the Magic. The man can do more in 15 minutes than Kwame Brown can do with a career.
